Open Enrollment

The CSU Open Enrollment period for plan year 2024 has ended.

The health and wellbeing of our employees is important, and as such, the CSU is committed to offering benefits and plan options to cover your individual and family health needs. We encourage you to make sure your benefits work for you by reviewing your current plans and participating in the Annual Benefits Open Enrollment period:

When is Open Enrollment?

Monday, September 18, 2023 through Friday, October 13, 2023

During the Open Enrollment period, employees may enroll, change or cancel Medical, Dental, Vision, FlexCash, Dependent Care Account (DCRA), Health Care Reimbursement (HCRA) or Voluntary Benefit Plans.

Any changes made during the Open Enrollment period will be effective January 1, 2024

Once you register, you will receive a link to access the virtual Open Enrollment platform on Monday, September 18. You may visit the site at any time during Open Enrollment, and it will also host our virtual regional campus Benefit Fair.

At the Zoom Virtual event, you will be able to video or text chat with providers and your campus Benefits Services team.

We also welcome you to attend our in-person benefits fair this year:

Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Templo Mayor
Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union, Level 2

Medical, dental, and voluntary plan representatives will be available to speak to about the upcoming plan year, and assist with any questions you may have. We hope to see you there!

Making Changes to your Benefits

You will make changes to your benefit elections in Peoplesoft Self-Service. Remember to access Peoplesoft on or after September 18 but before close of business on October 13 to change your benefit elections.

Full details on health plans options are available on the CalPERS website. By viewing your CalPERS Health Plan Statement available through your personalized my|CalPERS account, you can view your current plan, and any specific health benefit changes that may affect you in the upcoming year. If you do not have an account, you can create one by visiting the my|CalPERS Log In page, and selecting “Register Now.”

If you do not wish to make any changes to your current benefits, there is no action required. Your current elections for these plans will automatically continue for plan year 2024.

However, you must re-enroll in a Health Care and/or Dependent Care Reimbursement Account if you wish to continue participation into the new plan year.

Systemwide Human Resources will be hosting a series of webinars in partnership with our benefit vendors. The fall series will focus on benefits that are only available during Open Enrollment or upon hire.

The Benefits Services team is here to assist you with any questions about your benefit options and look forward to helping you find the benefits that will best meet your needs in 2024!

If you have questions, please contact Benefits Services at (619) 594-1144, via email at [email protected], or by visiting us in person at the Center for Human Resources in the Extended Studies Center on the 4th Floor, or at the CHR Virtual Front Desk.
